Supporting children, families and practitioners.

Early Childhood Intervention Specialists

ECI Teachers is a specialist provider of educator-led early childhood intervention, delivered exclusively by qualified early childhood teachers. Our team is trained and experienced in working inside real learning environments, including kindy, early school years, childcare, early learning centres and playgroups.

We understand how children learn through play, routines and everyday experiences, and we have the professional skill to support participation, engagement and confidence during group time, transitions and shared activities.

We are also specialists in collaborating with ECA Practitioners, Key Workers, allied health teams and educators. Our teachers understand how early learning settings operate and how group dynamics influence a child’s ability to participate, regulate and connect with peers. This allows us to embed strategies effectively, reinforce existing plans and contribute to a coordinated, professional approach to support.

Our governance, documentation and supervision systems provide additional quality and consistency, ensuring every child receives expert, well-informed implementation support that helps them make meaningful progress.

Each child’s support is guided by the goals and plans already developed in consultation with their family and the practitioners who know them best, including doctors, educators, Key Workers and allied health teams.

We specialise in implementing these strategies inside real learning environments, using short integration bursts or periods of intensive focus to help children achieve their goals more quickly and in ways that last. Our role is to bring the team’s work to life through consistent, high-quality practice that strengthens participation, confidence and everyday skills.

Our Approach

ECI Teachers focus on implementing the strategies already developed by Key Workers and allied health teams, bringing them to life inside real learning environments. This includes supporting the child’s social and emotional development, which we view as a foundation for learning, participation and wellbeing.

Our teachers embed these strategies into everyday routines, giving children frequent and meaningful opportunities to practise their skills in moments that naturally support connection, confidence and emotional regulation. Social participation, turn taking, peer interaction and transitions are woven into our work so that children learn how to navigate group settings with greater ease and success.

This approach is part of our core philosophy. Children learn best through supported practice in familiar environments, guided by trusted professionals who understand early childhood development. By working collaboratively with families, educators and practitioners, we strengthen and accelerate progress, helping children to practise skills, build confidence and grow.

What We Support

ECI Teachers help children build the skills they need to participate confidently in their everyday learning environments. We specialise in educator-led early childhood support that strengthens a child’s ability to learn, communicate and engage with the people and routines around them.

We focus on practical, goal-aligned support across social participation, communication, emotional regulation, transitions, independence and early learning routines. This includes guided play and peer interaction, following instructions, using visual supports, practising simple self-regulation strategies, joining group routines, building pre-literacy and pre-numeracy foundations, and supporting participation in fine and gross motor activities in non clinical ways.

All support is delivered in meaningful moments throughout group time, play, movement and everyday routines, the natural environments where children learn best. Our teacher-led approach ensures that strategies are embedded at the right time, in the right context, so children can strengthen their skills with confidence and consistency.

How It Works

Getting started is simple. After a referral is received, one of our qualified teachers contacts the family, introduces themselves and ensures the planned support aligns with the child’s goals.

Our teacher then books session times directly with the child’s early learning setting and begins delivering support within real routines and activities.

Families, Key Workers and Plan Managers receive ongoing progress updates, with all communication and notes captured securely through our secure platform.

Who We Work With

ECI Teachers partner closely with families, ECA Practitioners,  Key Workers, allied health teams, early learning educators and Plan Managers, to ensure children receive consistent, coordinated support.

Our teachers work within existing plans and strategies, strengthening what each professional is already doing and helping children apply these skills across their everyday environments.
